1. How much do you charge per hour, what are your rates, etc.
We don't work by the hour, but our quotes are based on 70 dollars an hour. One of our biggest local competitors charges TWICE that amount per hour.
Before any work is done, a price is agreed upon and that price is what the customer will pay regardless of how long it takes to do the work, even if it takes longer than anticipated.
We give QUOTES for the work to be done, not ESTIMATES. Estimates are a way for somebody to charge you MORE than they should at the end of the job! We specialize in residential work, so we know how long it will take to do whatever kind of job you need done.

5. Do you do telephone work, cable tv work, satellite tv work, home theater systems, alarm systems?
No, we are electrical wiring and fixture installations only. No low-voltage work is done except for doorbell systems. Why not? With internet over phone and cable lines and high-end home theater work, there is a high degree of specialization and knowledge needed to give a proper installation. We don't have the proper tools or testing equipment to do that sort of work, so we don't do it. We would rather decline to install something that we can't guarantee than install it and hope that it works right.

9. Are you a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB)?
No. Pro Electric has never had a customer complaint or issue that could not be resolved without a third party. We aren't a "fly by night" type of company...we've been serving customers since 2002 and we do our utmost to make sure that our clients are happy. We make sure that everything is ok and approved by the customer right from the start in order to avoid problems. We hate to assume anything, so we ask questions throughout the course of the job to make sure the customer is satisfied and happy with the work we are doing. The BBB charges a monthly fee to be one of their members, which is typically passed on to the customer through higher rates. Please read this for another opinion on the BBB.
